A couple of my friends and I were discussing if some members of our favorite bands started a side project to create the "perfect" band who would be in it. I thought of a good or great (depends on opinion) death metal band:

Well, I suppose that I don't know for a fact that Allen West is mediocre, because I've only heard his work in Six Feet Under and Obituary. My comment was based on what I've heard from him in SFU and Obituary, so maybe that will help you to understand where I am coming from.

Obituary were a mediocre band and SFU are terrible. When you add mediocre and terrible, I guess what you get is bad. I ignored that, though, because if Obituary's riffs were largely mediocre, than that would show that he could at least reach the level of mediocrity. I also said slightly above average at best, giving him the benefit of the doubt that he might be able to play better than what I've heard from him.

If he has played in any other bands (I don't know if he has or hasn't), or if you have anything where he is very good, then I want to encourage you to make me aware of it. If you can, I will retract what I said. Going from what I HAVE heard, however, I simply cannot say that he is very good, but simply mediocre.

By the way, JohnMansley, that was some funny shit. Maybe we will get lucky and he will just download all the Dream Theatre tabs and leave.

Thats pretty good, but all of Cerrito's songs are too long for me- I think he has a larger part in writing Pierced that Hobbs did. All of the riffs kick ass, just too many in any one song.
