You guys ever sit around and listen to CD's you havnt fired up in years? Ive been going through my collection of music and have came across some CD's i havnt heard in close to 10 years. Im 25 and some of these take me back to my highschool days(92-96) jamming these out in the garage and such. Old Celtic Frost,Exodus,Possessed,Napalm Death to name a few.

Suffocation "Human Waste"
Asphyx "The Rack"
Immolation "Dawn of Possession"
Grave "Into the Grave"
Broken Hope "Swamped in Gore"
Sinister "Cross the Styx"
Possessed "The Seven Churches"
Pestilence "Consuming Impulse"

These are some of the few ive been playin the past few days, man talk about some good shit. I enjoy the new sound of Death Metal, but bands like these will always be my tops IMO... your thoughts?

I enjoy doing this too. A couple bands i've recently been listening to that i pretty much forgot for over a year were:

Nile
Cryptopsy
Suffocation
Cannibal Corpse

And i'm thinking of listening to some Incantation soon....that's been ages.

Yep. I've been listening to Incantation (The Infernal Storm) quite a bit lately, first time in awhile.

Also:

Suffocation - Pierced From Within
Deeds of Flesh - Path of the Weakening
Disgorge - She Lay Gutted
Vital Remains - Forever Underground

And so on.

It's interesting how good shit goes by the wayside. I listened to 'Beneath the Remains' the other day & I swear my pupic hair started falling out as I began living this terrible, atavistic waking nightmare. It's still a good album, though.

Hey for anyone else that's ever lived in the tropics, do you have cd rot? All of my cds that are around 10 years old are full of fucking holes & more or less unplayable. The Metallica & Sep I'm not too worried about, but I am a little cut that the early COF & Megadeth stuff is so thoroughly doomed.

Anyway, listen to Bing Crosby, that'll learn you some real old school.

I have a few CD's that warped a little when I left them in my car. This was in Melbourne.

I remember when my asshole brother took some of my OldMansChild cds! He likes rap and nu-metal too! So he took them and copied them, and when he was driving me one day, he put in the pagan prosperity and it was totally fucked up. He must leave all his cds in the car....they're even discolored(Houston, Texas). And when I asked, "What the hell?!?!" He said that he liked the drum beats.:p:p:p:p

Yeah dude, a few of my cd's have fucked up like that. Even worse is burned cd's, which sometimes take only months.

Bing Crosby, apparently he recorded over 2500 songs over the span of his career. That is awesome.
