anyone know what is better shit? my mom just off-loaded like $2300 on nuance speakers and an amp! i looked at bose which are supposed to be top of the line shit and the speakers are $500 (american i'm guessing). and i couldn't find a price on one of their amps. but the nuance speakers she got are only rated at 150watts. now i know bose speakers are rated a lot higher than that. and the amp she has only puts out 100 watts per channel. now i would say to get the Bose601 speakers and the Bose 1600-VI professional stereo power amp. anyone have any experience with both these brands?
What the hell is this for anyway? A car?

yeah, mainly good for having a theater in your living room, :D.
Bose is the best of the best. The most expensive I think, and the speakers of bose are like 5 or 8 inches tall, they get FUCKING loud and they're smaller than stereo speakers:eek:. I've never heard of Nuance...

Bose are ultimate though. I have Pioneer....
*chirp chirp* They are good for an 12x10 room, though. :D
I've got a Kenwood 600 watt system......it does the job, and a little more too.
Speakers are speakers man......as long as you're not stuck with 5 watt bottom of the barrel pieces of trash, it should sound good, whether or not you spend 5000$.
Bose sucks. don't know nuance.
if you want quality shit, try Mission, Dali, B&W and Linn speakers... they do cost a dime though. I saved up for my mission 733's. and I got a NAD audio set to match it.

Nah, bose is good. But damn expensive, yes.
I like my JBL 5.1 system.
Onkyo, aiwa,... all the japanese stuff is good.
But i think you'll never use the whole 100w for a house, except you want to here a song from the cellar to the roof!!!
I'm talking about high end audio here metalpoldi...
Bose sucks compared to mission or dali's. ok, they're even more expensive but what the fuck.
for my NAD amp I paid about 600 usd, my NAD cd player was 450. my mission 733's floorstanders cost me about 300 a piece.
expensive, but good investements though, quality stuff with great detail, for me its worth every penny because I listen to music day in day out. Ofcourse its important to get a versatile set too. I wanted a lot of detail and tight low end. if you're into dance and techno you need to get a Denon set with Cerwin Vega speakers.
Some brands specialize in specific genres. I guess my set is kinda audiophile like. which makes me sound like a dirty bastard.
which actually is quite a good narration of reality

yeah, Cerwin Vega's where it's at. but what's wrong with bose? i think they are good shit.
and poldi, a 100W house stereo would be a piece of shit.
Bose only has good details in the mids. the highs and lows are poor, especially long pumping basses, they just don't sound as full as they should be.
I've heard a lot of bose speakers but I was never impressed. Tannoys that weren't nearly as expensive where much, much better... Bose is just overrated in my opinion.
but ofcourse, its about personal preference too.
