Everything by Primus is good.
I like "Frizlle Fry" most.
They released a new CD/DVD.

eh, I listened to a demo of a song from the cheese album and I wasnt very imprressed. allthough the quality might of messed it up, I didnt like the vocals very much, the bass was aawesome though. who knows, it might of just been that section of that song.

yeah the studio quality of thier albums may be lacking, but their music is original. The bass is godly. I attempted to play some of their songs and i played bass for 4 years and I found it hard to play. I heard that claypool tried out for Metallica when Cliff was killed, and they said that he was too good and that he has developed his own unique style and that he would one day have his own band.

1- frizzle fry
2- tales from the punchbowl
3- pork soda
Songs:
1- Tommy, the cat
2- Too Many Puppies
3- DMV
i really start getting into these guys my freshman year of college, with the help of pot and delicious beverages.

What cd is most like Animals Should Not... I like the experimental elements with the drawn out songs and the jamming feel to them [no im not interested in the random jam shit he does] but i like the abstract experimental shit the most, like favourite songs are
Whole Animals album
Bob
My Name is Mud
DMV
You know... recommend me

the first song (and video) i heard by Primus was "My Name is Mud". i love how they focused on his hands playing bass.
fucker can play, that's for sure.
Pretty much any Primus is fucking awesome. Frizzle Fry is their best with Sailing the Seas of Cheese coming in a close second.
Best live band I've ever seen. Claypool, LaLonde and Herb are all amazing.

Well you gotta love Possessed and I really like Blind Illusion, though Claypool's bass playing isn't quiet so 'schizo' on the Sane Asylum album. So by default I gotta love Primus  I got Frizzle Fry when it came out and it just blew me away with it's off the wall style. I also got the Cheesy Home Video and there is some awesome footage of them playing live!
They also did a cover of 'The Thing That Should Not Be' which if I recall was a little more sober than I hoped it would be
