About that Within Temptation praising that's been going on......i downloaded about half of the song before i decided that it sucked and stopped the download. From the way you 2 praised and glorified it, i expected the most brilliant music to ever grace mine ears.....instead i heard riffs that to me aren't impressive, very boring.....and a female singer who despite her talent, didn't seem to fit in at all with the music.....i was very disappointed.

Your right, a real good song is long. (Not every long song is good, and not all short songs are bad, but if the song is about 10 min or longer, it usually is good.)

DerMeister
2002-04-24, 03:14
The longer, the better, some say.
I agree in some cases. Take Sonata Arctica's The Power of One, which is about ten minutes, but is way too short......It's brilliant, I think.

Do not forget Keeper of the 7 keys! I think it betwene 10 and 13 minutes, can't remember right now. That's a great song. I think it was the first melodic metal song I ever heard.

System of a Down lets me down, coz it is terrible to hear people rape their instruments.....

The Power of One by Sonata Arctica is a good song.

I like this one. Singing it at the top of your lungs at midnight is good. Not as good as consensual sex between mature-age adults, but still pretty good.
