I've been to Aida, wich was pretty cool but not more, and The sound of music, wich astounished me with a lot of humor and nice songs.
And with school we're gonna do Tommy by the Who. Can't wait to start.

any of you guys been to a musical or preformed in a school play before?

I don't want to sound like most teenagers on this site, but i hate high school plays.

When i went to school, the only plays produced were garbage and extremely boring.

I went to 3 or 4 in high school but they all sucked, lame actors and they attempted horribly at trying to be funny. I've been to real plays and musicals though and that is at least enjoyable...a little...

i've been to "annie get your gun" at broadway.
other than that the only plays that i've gone to were
ones that i've participated in. i was in the pit for "fiddler on the roof"
and i went to another school for money to be in "something's afoot."

I've done about four musicals and a dozen plays. I was a loud-mouthed little fuck, and boy they loved me for it. Highlight was smoking a cigar onstage with the old fascist fuck of a headmaster sitting square in the front row. That was brilliant.

Me! Me ! Me!
I was a "humble page turner" for the pianist in the first one I worked on which was "Rock and Roll" . That was a really fun one. And I was in a really crappy one ,"You Were Born on a Rotten Day." I think I worked backstage on all the rest we did in high school . Most of them weren't big titles, but those 2 stick out in my mind. It was a lot of fun.

The first time I ever got pulled over with someone by a cop was after a cast party where we'd all gone out for pizza and to the drive-in. We still had our costumes and make-up on !! Scads of that hideous blue eyeshadow !!! The cop flashed the flashlight across the bunch of us and we told him why we looked the way we did. It was in a bad area for speedtraps anyways, but we told him our driver was tired and taking us all home. He was weaving in the road a little. Actually he was a bit on the stoned side from what I remember, but we didn't tell the cop that !! He told us to be careful and let us go .

Ah, those were the days. And we're talking mid-1970's.

yeah, i know what you're talking about, i'm just being silly ;)

it would be nice to stab a jackass with one of those bows when they're all being a jackass in the pit.

Okay... I played trumpet in the pit orch. for "My Favorite Year", and did another gig on guitar which had essentially no plot but just straight music (Simon and Garfunkel, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Journey, Stevie Wonder...).
