I believe I'm going to the show in Maryland, not sure which one. I'm going to visit my cousins down there and they're taking me. It'll be cool since I've never been to an Opeth concert, and also a learning experience because I've never heard Porcupine Tree before.

They sound kinda like Opeths Damnation album, just not as mellow.
take a look at these clips... especially "Trains"

got back from the opening show in toronto a few hours ago, and wow, it was amazing, i'm still in awe
they played all of damnation, benighted, to bid you farewell, a cover (not gonna ruin the surprise for you) and ended with face of melinda
porcupine tree was pretty good too

I just got back from the show in Chicago last night, and... wow... Mike Akerfeldt is probably one of the most musically talented people on the earth. Opeth played extremely well, and had very nice on stage sound. "To bid you farewell" was an amazing live song, everyone was standing around in awe... Porcupine Tree on the other hand, i didnt like so much. Their bass was turned up so loud it felt like my clothes were being blown off, and Steve Wilson broke a string in the middle of 2 different songs :( . Mike also said they MIGHT rehearse "Black Rose Immortal" for their next tour! :D
