There's a few songs I've learned that require pickslides. Everytime I do a pickslide, it sounds like crap. Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong?

either get a slide, or put the pick parallel to the string and run it along side,
instead of perpendicular, or you can even put this in guitar talk.

Posting in the wrong forum. Most of the time on albums the band will over lap special sounds. On the pick slide they may over lap it several times, as well as pinch harmonics, Stuccattos, ect. Make sure your pick is sideways and try sliding your pick over the E A and D at the same time.

my tip would be to use the lead pick up and slide from the piont where the pick up meets the wood ( towards the neck) because the farther the pick is from the pick up (during a slide) the lower the pitch.
