string problem...

Ok well all my string seem to work fine EXCEPT, my high e string. During slides or rapid note hits i get lots of dirty distortion it doesnt sound like it should, anyone know whats wrong with it? thanks guys. :beer:

maybe you need to fix the intonation on that string.

Also: Your pick my be worn down and riged which you can hear the effects on the higher strings, or it could just be the way you play (no offense).

One more thing, when you just his the E open, is thier a fret buzz?

i cant remeber, but my other 2 high strings dont buzz.

get new pick ups. the pole peice for the e string is probably making the srting percussive and thats probably what that is.. but then again i dont know exactly what the problem is.
