awfull sound!

I went to Cradle of Filth in the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam this weekend and sound was awfull! It was all blurred, and crap... any of you guys have experience with this.. .because when I go to the 013 in Tilburg (also holland) the sound is great....

hmm odd, when rammstein played in HMH the sound was great, and with saxon in the 013 it was great to, so maybe cradle didn't had them night.

oh yes.

The heineken music hall does have pretty good acoustics, I saw the Deftones there once and the sound was really good....

the 013 has a good stage sound, a lot of mid-sized clubs have great sound, to big or to small isn't good for the sound.

it depends on the soundguy most of the time, the place I work at has 2 guys, one guy allways manages to get great sound, but the other guy allways mixes a crappy sound, seriously, it's just the sound engineer....

Though, I bet the HMH is a difficult hall to get a good sound in, it's fucking huge. though the 'big' beers are really neat :D it isn't called HEINEKEN music hall for nothing :)

i love that hall man, when you get through the huge doors you feel really tiny, it's cool.

But i like stadium concerts better, in arnhem dude, with 15.000 people!

I dunno, I prefer the small/medium size clubs with lots of sweat and beer on the floor and super loud sound...

too big is unpersonal, I don't like heaps of security and fences and shit.

I go with Def, I like small places better... 013 still is the best, it allways has great sound, and it´s not too big nor too small... In fact I´m going there in 3 hours!
Other great dutch places to go are De Effenaar in Eindhoven and De Baroeg in Rotterdam. Great atmosphere there.... I´ve been to The Gelredome too and I didn´t like it too much...

well i went and watch this band play at the local shire hall, farr out the band could shred but fuckin acoustics were so shit in this hall, u had to be right in front of them or downstairs outside to get a good sound, this place sucked ass for acoustics

i think outside gigs r good, the sound travels and just sounds good where eva u are in the crowd
