I heard that theyre making a new record but dont know bout that... Phils doing some gigs with Down I guess and hes got that side project with Iommi so I guess theres no Pantera for a while... :,(

but it would be soo freaking awesome if they toured agin but like throne said phill is doing stuff with superjoint ritual and down and some other bands but there last record dime, vince, and rex did there part then mailed that to phil and he put the vocals over it and that was the album they didnt even see much of each other the entire time till ozz fest started but it would be so awseome if they did agin id defitannly go see them.

From what I remember a friend of mine telling me Phil said in an article. That Phil was going to quit alot of the bands that he's in and just stick to Superjoint and Down.. he wanted to put Pantera on hold for awhile and work exclusivly with these two and get them moving. <shrugs> Just what I was told don't know if it's true or not but I know that's what was in the interview.. I think he just finished touring with Superjoint actually or ..maybe they just started touring..haha I dont' know.. it's one of those two..

im going to answer myself in this post just to let everyone in on it i read somewhere and phil stated that they (pantera) would be recording the later part of this year (2002). i dont know if this means that theyre recording now or not but take it as ya will

I know just how you feel man, I've never seen 'em live either. I would like to see Down or Superjoint live, but nothing compares to Pantera!! Anyway, this whole thing is really freakin me out, I heard a rumor that Phil hates Dime and the band split after that. But then I heard Dime say in Guitar World that he and Vinnie had been trying to get ahold of Phil and Rex for months and they keep blowin em off 'cause they just want to focus on the other bands, but Dime promised there would be another Pantera album. I vow to get revenge on Phil and Rex if they break up Pantera for good.
