I paid 99 euros ($140), plus £170 ($300) in flights to see them. Yes it was Wacken, but they were the only band I was really going for. Worth every penny, they were fucking spot on, pretty much played a set list I would have chosen for them.

It's all good. That was a badass show! I got right on the front before Suffocation went on and stayed up through Carcass. It was fucking great. I was literally right in front of Michael Amott the whole show. I got a pick from Terrance of Suffocation and Michael of Carcass. Also 1349 sounded like shit... vocals were up way too loud and the guitars were turned down, couldn't hear a fucking thing they played.

Last night's (sold out!) show at the H.O.B. in Hollywood was excellent. I am thoroughly and totally exhausted/tired/blown up.
Carcass played a huge mix of older and newer shit all mixed together, sometimes they'd even bust into another song right from another one. Place was so PACKED I couldn't believe it. Jeff Walker is a funny guy. Suffocation showed a new song called "Mental Hemorrhage" from their new album that really impressed me. I know all their new stuff sounds better live to me than on CD but this song was really well written - a killer. And their whole set just really destroyed the place.
Don't miss this tour if you have a chance to go.
