Rage Against The Machine has it's own style, that's why they don't bore me fast, the self titled cd was the best by far, but some of the other where also okay, the last 'renegades' was pretty good too.

Metal is such a broad category.. it's hard to honestly say no their not.. or yes they are.. their not death metal no.. that's easy.. but that's a specific genre.. I say they could be considered a branch genre of metal.. they're like a heavy political funk-rap metal type.. and Doctor said that they have some "techno shit" you are retarded.. I believe you're thinking I'm some big black metal maniac or something like that now...which is wrong, I still only listen to three black metal bands, Dimmu Borgir, Children of Bodom, and Immortal, and I've only really gotten into one song by Immortal...I just pointed out that I liked more black metal than death metal because I only listen to one death metal band, and that one death metal band is 5 times better than any of the three I mentioned above, far as I'm concerned.

And as far as RATM goes, I won't gradually end up liking their more rap-sounding songs, because I don't ever listen to them, so I won't get used to them.

I've got "Renegades", but didn't listened to that so often. On that album are just cover-songs, when i'm right.

Yeah, they've got an new singer. I think it's Chris Cornell and they call themselves now "Audioslave".

chris cornell allready left them. after recording one album.... I don't know what they are planning now, the chris cornell stuff is okay but it's just not the same without Zack.

the songs on renegades are all cover songs, you're right about that Metalpoldi, but they are made in the ra/tm style, I like that cd, though it's not as good as their original stuff.

Actually Def you are close.. Shit I don't remember what their name was.. but they recorded a demo and then chris left.. because he wasn't sure if it was something that he wanted to do. Then they changed their name to audioslave and Chris came back they recorded the album and now they are on tour.. and as far as I know Chris is still with them.. As for renegade goes.. I bought the cd put it in my cd player.. listened to it on the way home..and threw it out the window.. it was crap.. the only good song on there was the ghost of tom Joad.. RATM was better than audioslave but they were just going in the wrong direction.. It was probably better that they split

yeah, audioslave isnt all that great. Alot of people think so, but most of them never really ever listend to RATM. Ive got all of Ratms stuff. If you like RATM try to find the live and rare album, its awesome. Renegades isnt good, to much rap shit on it.

I'd dig the Rage stuff more if it wasn't so limited to the same god damn riffing style. I gave the Audioslave band a listen and the only thing that stuck out to me was Cornell.

I don't know about renegades, it's a 'nice' cd but it's not rage against the machine because of the covers, they even covered cypress hill for christs sake!

I don't give a tuppeny fuck if RATM is metal or not. They had something and it worked. Admittedly, some of it was a bit simplistic but they had a real vibe going and they had some great fucking songs.

And both hardcore "true metal for ever" poser faggots and ordinary everyday top-40 poser faggots often found something in them. Impressive.

Audioslave is fukn whak as hell, they can never duplicate RATM no one can, zacks dope ass vocals combined with that funky ass metal. no one can, in my opinion chris cornell sucks a fat one, auidoslave is just a step or two heavier than creed. which isnt saying much since creed can also suck a fat dick.
