I still need to check out Stench of Redemption. This new one isn't really doing it for me.

I wasn't really impressed with their last two, to tell you the truth. Everyone started talking about how great they were, how it was a return to their previous greatness. Really, outside of the first two albums, I can't get into any of their shit. Even the Serpents of the Light and Once Upon the Cross stuff that I loved as a teenager bores me these days.

Stench gave me new hope for this band, it was the only worthwhile album they put out in practically over a decade, it was refreshing and youthful in a good way.

But just hearing a few excerpts of songs from the new record I can tell they've gone back to their old mid-90's uninsipired writing approach so I'm not really excited about this at all.
