just wondering what everyone's first guitar was? mine was a fender squire strat. not too shabby for a first. it was a lot better when i got my friend to set the internation and lower the strings (i didn't know how to at the time). i still use it, but it is not my main guitar anymore.
also, what does everyone play now? i'm using a yamaha rx1220. it's not bad for a yamaha. it has 24 frets, floating bridge, locking nut and locking bridge, dual hum(putting in new emg's), with shark fin inlays. i like the locking nut and bridge, once you stetch out the strings and lock everything, it'll stay in tune until you decide to change the strings.............even with extreme wailing on the whammy bar!

My first guitar was an Ibanez Stagestar. It was the biggest piece of crap ever, but for some reason I've never gotten rid of it, I guess I'll hang on to it for the memories.

My first guitar was Harley Benton strat clone.pretty good for beginner but when I started to play more technical stuff I noticed that my guitar sucks.
Now I have BC rich warlock.I keep it on D tune and harley benton on E tune.So when I want to play something like Children of Bodom i use warlock but when I want to play something else I play my Harley.

my first guitar was a hammer double cut away it was not to bad for a begginer guitar but once i strted playing solos and shit i got really pissed off  cause i could not get passed the 17 fret comfortably and it needs new humbuckers but i still have it even though it is crappy for the memory of my first guitar now i have a jackosn kvx10 i love the hell out of it the only downfall is its black (which i did want ) but every finger print dust ect shows up like a bitch i want to get some emg's for my jackson and put the extsting humbuckers on my first guitar (there already semor duncans ) so that would save some money not buying four new humbuckers
My first guitar... a Samick stratocaster
it rules!

Peavy Predator--worst guitar I've ever owned, so I gave it to my cousin.
Mine was a Cort telly rip-off.
I just put down a deposit on a Jackson KV-2 in Blood Drip finish. Should have it paid off by Christmas.

A sunburst Harmony strat copy. Got a homemade kelly thru-neck & Jackson PS-4 with EMG-85. I played a predator, worst guitar I played to.
MY FIRST GUITAR(AND STILL THE ONLY ONE) IS MY PEAVEY RAPTOR PLUS. IT IS HORRIBLE BUT I CAN JAM ON IT ANYWAY. SINCE I PLAY LEFT-HANDED I JUST RESTRUNG IT, WHICH MAKES IT A BITCH TO PLAY, BUT, HEY, GOTTA PRACTICE ON SOMETHING. ANYWAY FOR CHRISTMAS, I'LL BE GETTING AN ESP LTD EXPLORER, LEFT-HANDED!!!-FINALLY A GUITAR FOR ME. THEN I'LL PUT EMG'S ON IT. METAL RULZ!!!

My first was a Squire Bullet, only $100. I re-painted it myself once and did a really crapy job. maybe sometime ill re-re-paint it and do a better job. I cant stand playing on that thing nowdays though, im so used to jumbo frets and that thing feels like its got small frets.
mine was a yamaha sumthin or other i goit from my unkle. it sux but acctually not that bad.it has the best neck ive ever played. wierd huh. alot of people rag on yamaha but ive played many of thier instruments and i was very impressed. same with godin. the yamaha ty tabor sig of kings x friggin rox. another one of my favorite guitars for comfort. anyone else like godin i never head of em on here.

Fender Stratocaster, my first and only electric guitar right now. In a few years I'm hoping to get an Ibanez of some sort.
(Random): Can anybody believe the price on Yngwie's signature strat? It's more than a JEM!
my first guitar is my yamaha pacifica, owned it for 2 years now, i'll be getting a Ran guitar if I get into the university my parents want me to go to though.

haha i have the ibanez GAX75 as well, that thing is a feedback machine. that drop d thing is pointless too. it knocks it out of tune and drop d is just dumb.
my first guitar was a Lotus. i dont know what model it was red, a lot of the pickup wires were cut (some how it still worked?) action was too high the little metal things that seperate the frets were too high it actually hurt when you slide, and was literally impossible to tune. as soon as you tune it it goes RIGHT out again as soon as you touch the string.
my next guitar was an Ibanez GRX10 or something.

My first guitar and only guitar is my Alvarez Dana scoop. It's my first guitar, and it's my favorite.
my first guitar was a valencia acoustic. it's not very good but i still have it for memories. my first electric i no longer have, it was an SX stratocaster copy. piece of garbage, $500 and a free 10w samick amp, i heard better noises coming from my stomach.

My first was a Squire strat worth about 150 bucks. Used it on a brutal Marshall MG15HFX or whatever it's called, they don't even make it anymore. It had three knobs, and only three knobs: Gain, Contour, and Vol. Had the guitar for about 3 years and never changed the strings on it. I eventually got so pissed w/ the thing that I slammed it on the ground and ripped off the strings with my bare hand.

My first guitar was the same as Andrew's first Elecrtic. Although mine was only 300 with a 10 watt mega amp, it totally ruled. I still have it and play it.

My first guitar was a Fender Starter, no not a Strat rip off, a STARTER. It was utter shit, but luckily I traded it in for a very good, but cheap, classical guitar. It cost about 117$ but it sounds just as nice as a moderately priced classical. Now I have 4 guitars: a PRS SG15 (it's a second, meaning that they screwed up in the grain when making it and they gave it to me for free), that classical guitar I was just talking about, a Segull acoustic guitar, and a B.C. Body Art Series Skull Pile guitar, the most hilarious looking thing ever.
My First Guitar was the Ibanez SA160QM and it is still the guitar I play most on and has the best sound/quality. Now I have a IC400, which is also very very nice, but I connect much more thoughts with my SA, so its more fun to play the SA.

samick strat copy
Some POS ~$100 department store thing with the logo "Global" on the headstock, a really gay sunburst pattern on the body, and the lamest pickups and bridge hardware you've ever seen. After many custom modifications and a black and silver paint job it eventually became pretty badass. I still use it for alternate tuning experiments. I acquired it from a friend in exchange for eight used vinyls. Unfortunately, one of them was an original pressing of "Blizzard of Ozz".

B.C Rich Warlock NJ Signature series
my first guitar was a custom guitar
it was designed by my dad, named the zwierstra axe, zwier stands for the guy that builded it (also builds guitars for blof wich is a famous dutch band (non metal though))and stra comes from yestra (my last name)(means belly in icelandic lolz)anyway it was like neck through, ebony fingerboard, 3 singecoils (wich suck ass) rilli wide neck (imagine a 7string neck with 6string on it) ITSUCKS
then i bought my own first guitar, a washburn for 200 usa dollars (pretty good duitar for the money)
then a jackson warrior xt (beter than the washburn but stil not rilli good)
then a ibanez rg 7 string prestige (was pretty nice but 7 strings suck in my oppinon)
and now a jackson warrior usa 1 (best ever):D:D
oke sry for naming al my guitars but just blame it on beer :p
greetz
A Epiphone SG. Sounded ok but horror to play.

A Squier SD-1 Acoustic. It's served me well over the years.
After a year or so I bought a Mexican Fender Strat. It's OK.
My first electric guitar was a squier strat affinity . is still rocks as i've dropped a seymour duncan hotrails in the bridge and it now sounds quite decent :) next stop jb jr :) i'm going to hotrod the bitch . btw her name is anne :) . the pic was taken 2 days after i bought it and it still had that sticker. now it's gone
