I keep finding more and more bands in this genre that are bad ass. I'm always looking for new talent. Can anyone give me some bands to check out. I am mainly looking for more lesser known or upcoming bands. I already listen to the bigger more obvious bands, Soilwork, The Haunted etc.

I just discovered Construdead. It's pretty good stuff. The vocals are a bit lower than ususal for me but I am getting back into the swing of thisngs as far as low gut wrenching vocals. But this guy's isnt that low.

construcdead... album's kinda hard to get outside of sweden..bought it there on the holidays =) was expensive, though..but they are nice.

I think old Bathory sounds more like thrash/black metal than just black metal, kinda like a thrashier venom or something. They definately arenīt black metal in of the same kind as Emperor, Cradle of Filth, or some shit like that!

Thatīs what I was trying to say. Bathory are thrashier. And Unleashed is death metal.

I just picked up the new darkane. It's pretty good. The only problem I have with it is that it sounds like they are trying to follow soilwork. The vocals go through many different ranges on this album which I like. I hate when some just sings low or way to high all the time. I dont remember the songs names but the best tracks IMO are 1,3,4,5,7,9. The others are ok but they kinda suck.
