from normal tuning, play the forth fret on bottom e, then open a, detune the a till it sounds the same as the e. Then, on the a string, play the fifth fret, then open d, and then detune the a string till it sounds the same as the open d. then do the fifth on the d with open g, then the FORTH with g and open b, then the Fifth with b and open top e. then play the bottom e and the top e, and detune the top till it sounds the same as the bottom

or simply:

tune the following for E flat (make the following sound the same):

e--
B--
G--
D--
A-0
E-4

then tune as you normaly would

Listen to him, it is the 6th fret, NOT the 4th.

Eb = 1/2 step down (it's also D#)

D = 1 step down

C# (or Db) = 1 1/2 steps down

C = 2 steps down

B (also Cb) = 2 1/2 steps down

I assume your talking about the pickup selector. Set it so it all the way to the side pointing towards the bridge(you know what the bridge is dont you?). THis will select the bridge pickup which is good for a metal crunch.

just double checking....its been a while.... 1/2 step is making it sound as it would on standard tuning while fretting the first fret right?

#1....like i said earlier...i am low on my budget as it is...when i got insurance money from my house burning down to buy a new one, 1/2 of the money went to my root canals and i cant really afford anything more...im only 15

#2 most tuners i find will only do standard tuning

I just bought a tuner today. Cost me about 40$ with tax CANADIAN......so if you're american that's like 10$ or something.

It will tune to any note, not just standard. There was an even cheaper one for about 30$ too. Tuners aren't expensive.
