I've got a kickass amp and an even more kicking ass bass :)
most of you've seen the pics in the bassforum in the past, the SR 5 prestige limited edition :p
In addition to that I've got a hughes and kettner bassbase 400 watt tube amp, but I need all that stuff for gigs, a good amp is the thing you need the most, even if you have a crappy bass (I played on a cort 4 string before.) a crappy bass will even sound pretty good on a good tube amp.

then don't get any tube amps, tube amps sound really round and bottom endy, also they sound clear.
