Cradle of Filth drummer Adrian Erlandsson has found his two side projects Needleye and Nemhain are taking up more and more of his time and has decided to leave COF, to concentrate more of his energies on them.
Adrian says “I have enjoyed my time with Cradle but it is now time to move on. I feel I am going out on a high as ‘Thornography’ is definitely our best album to date”.

Cradle are obviously very sorry that Adrian is leaving, but wish him all the best with his new projects.

Until Needleye and Nemhain fully take off Adrian is also planning to do some session work too.

We now have Martin Skaroupka Martins Website on drums, a fine gent whos skills are second to none. He will be continuing to play on the rest of the tour and those of you who have already seen us you will know that Martin is more than qualified for the job!

I believe a member of the band leaves right after they accidently stumble on Dani Filth participating in his solitary homoerotic pleasure sessions. Adrian was just the latest victim :p .

I think he was a good drummer in Cradle of Filth. I haven't heard any At The Gates (Am looking forward to when I find any of their CD's) so my judgement is based on only his work in COF.

I think he kind of slacked off a little on Nymphetamine. He still sounded good, but I liked his playing on Midian and Damnation and A Day better.

Thornography was the best album to date? wtf, they must have zero confidence whatsoever. I hate most of there stuff anyway and Adrian is better off in whatever band than Cradle. I think he would totally kick ass in a folk or viking metal band! He should go back to Sweden and start up a new one.

Cradle were good in the old days, but with Damnation and a Day they broke new ground of which I did not really think it was the good way. Bitter Suites to Succubi was their last good CD imo. I think Adrian is better off without Cradle nowadays.
To me there is only one song that really makes sense on Thornography, and that is Rise of the Pentagram.
