Hmm..

They're okay, they have some good moments. Nothing superb. No one else here will like them because they are hardcore influenced.

It can't be brootal, it's hardcore influenced. DUH!
If I knew musical terms to describe why, I would use them, but I don't, so I won't.

It's got breakdowns.

vocals kind of remind me of kataklysm for some reason...don't know why but they do...overall i think it is trying to be heavy to prove they are "br00tal"...

I burnt their CD "Masochist" off of a friend who downloaded it online (Free cd, yay!). Not bad. Sounds more in the vein of Job For a Cowboy and some Red Chord. Not bad for metalcore.

I can definately tell you are from the U.S. because there is that grindcore feel to it. Well, not too bad, but I think the guitar riffs are too hardcore rock sounding. The vocals, in my opinion are not too bad. You sound kind of death metal, but this is not my type of music, so... I'm more of a black metaller. All in all, it was ok for that genre.

Awesome! Acoustic metalcore 'round the campfire...

...Um, and aren't pile ups a product of 'queercore'?

Better than 10000 fans I think, or at least better than no fans. But not better than 10000 hot fans. So yeah, they kinda lucked out.

Metalcore. Whatever. It was alright though.

If you consider that everyone probably sucked at one time, there's probably some potential there. It IS highly generic though. And the longer this song gets the worse it gets, so neverfuckinmind.

Hey, I don't hate metalcore just because it's metalcore. I like metalcore more than any sort of metal ever, but even I know that Elysia is shit.

Sorry, bud.

"Metalcore" really isn't metal though. Or am I in denial of some fact that there's a genre of metal that is completely gay?

Nah, metalcore isn't metal at all.

The way I like to look at it is it takes the tolerable and redeemable parts from metal and uses them in a more quality-like manner.

Exceptions to this statement are:

In Thy Dreams
At the Gates
Amon Amarth

You can't possibly be serious.

This is the dumbest fucking genre-kid statement I have ever seen on this website, and for your information, this website is FULL of desperate, greasy, stupid children who produce long strings of yellow diarrhetic shit which masquerade as opinions.

In Thy Dreams was and Amon Amarth is utterly generic, completely boring Swedish death metal. The idea that these bands are somehow special is a special kind of stupid.

You're the same tossbag from the other day who referred to Dying Fetus and Cryptopsy, amongst other bands, as melodeath, aren't you?

EDIT: Yes, you are. (http://metaltabs.com/forum/showpost.php?p=513858&postcount=4)

Read this again.

Innovative? Yes. You're a narrow-minded, under-exposed douchebag. Don't listen to yourself. If you had even half an idea of how much innovation came from America (let's start the lesson with jazz and work our way forward), you'd be disgusted with yourself for starting this thread.

European music tends to wear classical influences on its sleeves; American music tends not to. That's the entire divide you're describing. It's not original to you, it's not interesting, and it has nothing to do with the superiority of European music (in most cases, by the way, incorporating centuries old work into your own is not considered innovative).

Now, do us a favor and learn a little bit about music before starting a thread with bold declarations about it.

Biggest porblem I have with this band is the excessive breakdowns. I enjoy a decent breakdown every now and then, but this is just stupid. And is it me, or on the longer breakdowns it gets slower and slower and seems like it ends, but then repeats again?
