my beef is politicized aspect of christianity. when it used as a platform for votes and that turns into key issue that arent important. issues that trivials real politics.

another thing is i precieve alot of the religiuos movements not much different than than the apathetic secular humanism they dispise when it comes to thier personal lives. alot of these people simply dont walk the talk, the message has been watered down and their is no sacrifice, no compromises when it comes to thier lives in a world of excess they bemoan in the churches,in the realm of politics. its all summed up to vote republican, thats it. a religion is simply validated by elections for most christians.

vegans and vegaterians have more of a change towards thier actions,daily habits nowadays. people who are straight edge challange norms in society to a greater extent than christians do now. look at early christianity in the roman empire and now look what its turned into today. nowadays most christain issue in america are simply symbolic, meaningless trivializations of the real message as described in the bible. parentalism in the form of rules on stuff like video game content,appropiate television,psuedo science,praying in school,paranoia against a homosexual conspiracy, refusal to understand abortion is a fact of life in america. its more about control than about faith.

this is not to mention the christian faith should be left out of politics,hell its described under the seperation of church and state. faith only exists for those who choose it. you dont need a bunch of laws to be religious, you dont need a flag that says GOD to validate your faith.

not all christians are like what i describe obviously. and im not saying they should get thier act together to impose theocracy here in the US. the key for the type of change religious groups want is by living by the example to inspire others, not imposing thier agenda thru dumb parental laws. you can believe and do those thing anyways. you can boycott the stuff you dont agree with.
