You are half right, I'll agree. They are worshipped, but unless they are doing something big, it seems like alot of other bands get more attention. Doesn't matter, they are the kings of their trade and I don't think anyone will dethrone them anytime soon.

I think it's because Suffocation don't need bigging up. Death metallers, unless they've been under a stone (with no inscription) for the past 15 or so years, know who Suffocation are, they know what they're about and they know that they slay a tremendously fiendish amount of buttock. How quickly would a thread titled "Suffocation Rulezorz!!11" turn into a host of replies resembling "We know, you festering arse pirate" and be closed within three replies? Exactly.
