Terribly underlooked Florida death metal band. Imperial Doom is a pretty raw simple death metal styled album, but as they progressed to In Dark Purity and Rise to Power, their style started to sound more like Malevolent Creation or Morbid Angel; cleaner, faster, and tighter. The material they wrote on these albums isn't a rip off of Malevolent or Morbid Angel either, there's some pretty classic shit going on here. Discuss!

Underlooked since when? Most of the people I hang with constantly fellate on Imperial Doom, Personally I like the dark riffing style, but the vocals really ruin it for me. I don't know why I don't like Corpsegrinder I just don't, Rise to Power had some god damn compelling songs and I view that as a pretty good album, alittle blah, but good.

oh I saw monstrosity at essen deathfest this year and it was gay and boring. the guitarist played a ten minute solo :sleeping:
monstrosity think they are the best but it's still boring.
I don't have any monstrosity records but i'm shure they are better on cd than live.

I have Rise to Power and Enslaving The Masses. Definitely a band worth listening to. Very clean and precise.

Yeah that would piss me off too. Apparently they are a terrible live band... can't say myself though.

A band that i don't listen too much, but I saw them in the gutting europe tour whit deeds of flesh, vile & impaled and they were very good, the guitar solo was boring but they did a very good show

I have imperial doom, rise to power and enslave the masses, they are two good albums (enslave the amsses is a comp) but sometimes i get bored of them

Imperial Doom and Millenium are two of the best death metal albums I've ever heard. Everything after those are great too, but I don't get into them as much for whatever reason. I'm sure I'll tab more shit from those albums before I die.

Hot damn Imperial Doom kicks ass. Great album with pocketed riff/drum sections, good usage of instruments, and highly intense.


Reminds me of Japan :-o...sigh.


Also, I have a live video of the band playing a 30 minute set. They sound pretty damn tight to me. I can put it up if anyone wants it.
