Alright everyone knows that for some reason the archive has been shut down.
but i read that there are mirror sites to the archives?
does anyone know any of these sites? I would greatly appreciate any feedback
I assume your talking about the PT archive?
It's back online now, although it's changed a little. Personally I don't like the changes, but all the tabs are there, you just need to be logged in to download them.

Sweet, I had no idea of this...I should check this shit out more often! :P
Am I missing something here? Created an acct and logged into powertabs.net, but can't download any tabs. You can search and view which tabs they have and associated reviews, but I don't see a download link.
www.ultimate-guitar.com worked for a little while, but seems to be offline now.
^Where it sais "Files" and "Tablature submitted on", that's the download link.
Doesn't say "files" or "tablature submitted" anywhere on the page. Am I the only one having this problem? I'm searching for tab using the "search" or "browse artists" link and I get to the song and can see reviews, but no download link.
www.ultimate-guitar.com seems to be up again though :)

911tabs is the best for powertabs as they go around and steal every tab from every website they have like all the powertabs you could want I get them all there. Anything non metal anyway. All of metaltabs tabs are there to anyway so yeah.

yeah 911tabs is good thats what i use, but most the powertabs that come from 911tabs come from the site ultimate-guitar.com, so that is also a good site

...which were all ripped off the powertabs site. It's annoying not being credited on any of the things I did on either of those sites.
Anyway powertabs.net works fine if you're logged in, but I think MAYBE you can't download anything unless you've had an accepted submission already or something. I dunno though, it's not an issue for me :P

Main site: (no downloads)
http://powertabs.net
Tab download mirrors:
http://pta.acidpit.org/
http://powertabs.phiross.org/
There you go. An actual answer to your question. Although a minute browsing ptbs.net would have yielded the same results.

not only that but i would think that the band we have here dont make enough money for it to be worth people pursueing(sp)
would you rather hit a site with green-day, blink 182 rolling stones etc tabs or the green screen with some band called necrophagist thats noones heard of?

powertabs.net is up again, actually. It has been for a while. You just have to register and log in to download stuff.

That is great. I will definitely shell out some bucks for that. Not death metal but I guess Ihsahn has a book out for the tabs from the Live Emperial Ceremony album. (2 minutes later): Yep, it's at Candlelight records website for $17.50 which is a pretty good deal.
