It's slayme's FTP and all.....so it's his choice what goes up there, but personally i don't think we need any Metallica/Megadeth/Slayer or any other "huge" band mp3s on there. Most people already have the cds, or the mp3s.

I think concentrating more on lesser known bands would be better......but it's up to him. If he's got hundreds of gigs to waste, then go ahead with all the popular stuff too.

Anyways......i'm looking for mp3's of Beheaded's latest album "Recounts of Disembodiment", and also ANY mp3's from Gorguts' first 2 albums.

It means exchanging of files form while being linked to the source.

Question 1: Find a program called cdex. I think it's cdex.com . It rips the cd and you can make mp3s out of it. (got this from Disciple)

Question 2: Right click the file and click "Save Target As.."

Just choose the MPEG format.....that's actually MP3. I've used CDex many many times (under 10) and it's always clicked "MPEG" and they turn out MP3....because MP3 is another form of mpegs.

Yes.

Just select a whole bunch of files (if you want to zip multiple files), right click them and go to "Add to .zip". Then winzip opens and you choose a name for the winzip file, and click "OK" or "Start" or whatever....and it zips them.

Something(as usual) fucked up while I was uploading, but it may have worked. Well, this is Norwegian underground black metal, and it is only a demo recorded in an improvised studio, so the quality could have been better. I'll upload the other song another day.

I have AOL, and yes it can take AGES. i also have 56k

here's a tip AOL users, don't use AOL's browser, use Internet Explorer and you should have no problem sending a file. You'll still have to wait, 'cause you're on a slower connection but you won't have AOL's bulky browser to botch things.

The server will not be coming back up, at least not anytime soon. It officially crashed and burned a day ago or so and I'm still trying to pick up the virtual pieces. Many apologies to the boardmembers who supported the site(uploaders, downloaders, freeloaders..)but I won't be able to continue on the current setup I have. If I come across a better way to do it in the near future, I'll let everyone know.
