So your implying that all photographers that aren't endoursed for their work should stay off the internet becasue they don't meet your pristiege? You know, because the internet is such a terrible place to promote your art (and it is art, just because you don't like dosen't make it not art). Black and white photography, soft focusing, and odd angels can greatly increase a pictures impact.

no, im stating that i have more than several "photographer" friends who haul cameras around and take the same kind of photo over and over and over again. i meant nothing about the op's photos or even the ones that were posted particularly in this thread (NHOE stuff was pretty cool, and i dug autumns walk in the woods pic when i saw it a while ago)

i was venting that im sick of seeing people take the same generic photo over and over again. my apologies if i "hurt anyones feelings"

It has to do with the analogy between amateur photographers showing off their stuff on the internet and amateur guitarists doing the same. Seemed clear enough. Both are annoying and ubiquitous enough that I appreciate criticism of either, but it's just a function of something as genuinely democratic as the internet: everybody, encouraged to believe he could be an artist if he wants it, and having a place to display his 'art,' whores out a lot of crap that, at best, should be kept out of sight as the fragmentary sketch of some later achievement it truly is. I won't finish that and say what 'at worst' is, but suffice it to say we see plenty of it. This of course is not a commentary on anybody's work in this thread.

This thread shouldn't be a part of the photobook and shame on everybody who thinks it should be.

Rednas's work looks like part of Vertical Features Remake; at least some of it does. I like what I skimmed through. Very nice colors.

Darko's work is pretty cool as well.

I've only got a couple scanned as of right now and my scanner is tricky so they didn't come out as large/clear as I had hoped. Some have small light leaks. Got loads more to scan eventually.
