DROWNING POOL FRONTMAN DAVE WILLIAMS FOUND DEAD.
Manassas, Virginia --- Drowning Pool singer Dave Williams was found dead on the band's tour bus this afternoon. The quartet from Dallas, Texas has been performing as one of the main stage attractions on Ozzfest. The cause of death has yet to be determined.

thats what i thought. im 18 years old. i had a friend who just died last week who was my age. it really gave me perspective on how sad it is for someone that is young to die...... when you really think about it........when someone dies who is like 70 or so, its not so bad.....sure, his band sucked (in my opinion), but its always sad to see someone young die.......

I came to this forum in particular, due to the intelligent conversations that would occur between people who happened to like the same music.
We would not spend endless hours whining about how all other music sucks, then ignorantly laughing because some person has died. It is very clear that this forum is now frequented by mostly angry teenagers who share a bond of hating everything which is different.

Life is a great thing, and just because you kids figure that yours sucks, doesn't mean that life in general sucks. When someone's life is taken away, it is just fucking ignorant to laugh. Especially because of a weak reason as in " he was in a nu-metal band".

I've been edgy lately and usually speak before I think, which is what I've done regarding this whole thing. I did this in no part due to what anyone here said, because I really paid little attention to any other posts, I just had my second thoughts about it, and actually felt a little bad that I said what I had.

I'll be honest, his death will not affect me at all, I have no feelings towards it. I'm not necessarily sad about it, but I also feel that he doesn't deserve to be taunted because of it.
