Hey i dont know if this is stupid or what
as a guitarist i respect dimebag and many others here too respect him
but them most of you dont like his band too (pantera)
how come, i mean if you like a guitarist then ofcourse you are gonna like the band's sound and hence like the band(despite of some asses in the band)

i dont like the band, and i cant really say i respect dimebag. i cant comment much on their stuff, but ive heard enough to know that i think its terrible. very boring and "rock" sounding. the solos had NO emotion, just speed, and the lyrics are really dumb, IMO. sounds like rock for rednecks. now please, guys, dont give me crap about not liking them, or my opinions on the band.

There are many bands I like who have dick heads in their ranks, you know I like them for the music. There are also guitarists I admire who's band I don't.
For example...love Black Sabbath and Tony Iommi, but don't go big hoots on his solo albums. Example 2......love Slayer but Kerry King can be an arrogant cock at times.
