A forum sitcom. Thats the best way to put it and atif is on the right track with the story thread, but i'm thinkin of something planned and done once a week. Sound like a stupid idea? Of course it does, but who cares I want to have fun with it. Why walpurgis and atif as the 2 main characters? Because I picked 'em, thats why and they're definately 2 of the most comically drawn people on here, inside my head at least. Of course you couldn't have a show without regular supporting castmembers, memnoch, far beyond sane, CtHuLhU DaWn, Opeth Rules, myself and more so don't worry you won't be left out.
Alright, now here's how it'll work and i"m sure the process will change as we start since its a relatively strange idea and will take time to get off the ground.
We hold the show once a week, the show is entirely in text format obviously and will be contained in its own thread. example thread title for show: The Atif and Walpurgis Show Episode #1
The script will be penned by whoever wants to as long as they're a forum member and must be reviewed by myself, atif and walpurgis before being put into production. The script shouldn't be too long, but not terribly and boringly short. Think of half a regular sitcom. The first script will obviously set the tone and introduce all the characters, therefore its a very important one. Think of it as a series, information and details about characters, stories, background should flow into the next episode, no contradicting.
Once the script is greenlit, walpurgis, atif and whoever else has been given parts through the script will be given copies and review them. At the set time and date for the show;(example 20:00 Monday), I will start the thread/episode and those cast in that particular episode will follow it through, posting their dialogue in the order it comes in the script. This means you will need to pay attention or it could get out of whack. Besides, it just wouldn't be fun if we posted the script in one post/thread and that was that.
how fast this begins depends on how many participate and how soon. this may sound incredibly stupid, but i wanna try it.

And this sounds like a hilarious Idea, but One thing i;d have to say, dont allow random posts inetween diologue or it will get confusing..i.e

this isn't a stupid idea, it's a great one!! i especially like it because i'm a main character and i because i've always wanted to be in a sitcom.
like Cthulu Dawn said, it'd be a good idea to delete non-character posts.
and for the script..........how will it work? it'd be a bad idea if the viewers saw the script before the "performance".....'cause then they know what would happen. i say we keep the script secretive and stuff, and not post it in chit-chat, definitely. me and wally can have the master copy in the daemon's lair and write it there or something, so not too many people can see it. and we'll use email/messengers to have other people contribute.
or how about this way, we'll designate a few scriptwriters and they'll write the way we do it in FTT where one guy writes in a chunk, and then the other adds to it. or they'll just come up with it together, whatever works. then slayme, wally, and I will review (and revise if we need to) before the show.

speaking of which, what will this show be about anyhoo? is this gonna be a show about nothing like Seinfeld? or are me and Wally gonna face realworld problems that everybody faces, like Me and Wally are gonna be non-gay parents of a baby that we found in the dumpster, or that every other nite i sleepwalk, go outside, and eat the flesh of the first human passing by, and wally can't stop me because of his huge yeti muscles (ironically)?
is this show gonna have a problem that's need to be resolved at the end of the show, like as a background, and then we layers jokes on top of that? or is it gonna be all jokes with minimal story? or are there gonna be no jokes, and it's gonna be a socio-political-economic drama or something?
we need to decide. Wally has agreed to brainstorm ideas with me, when he's getting drunk tonight at 9:00 Pm Est.

Improvisation from me would usually just result in the use of "Fuck you" over and over again, coupled with many random acts of senseless violence. Who here would really like to see that? :)
Heh, and atif, consider yourself privileged that you weren't there all night when my mood began to slip...we wouldn't have gotten much more accomplished.

Alright, here's the deal. I want to leave in September but I have to make sure I'll have an opening to do so, hence why I don't know my leave date yet. Then I have 2 months of boot camp, no computer there. Then I have 12 months of training/schooling, I'll have a computer if I buy one, which I probably will, so I'll be back during that time. Then it's 6 months at a nuclear plant, dunno if I will have access to use my computer then, but I think I will. During my actual active duty, 4 years after all of that, I'm not sure, just depends on how busy I am I'd imagine.
