Using Lemon Oil

I'm gonna try this stuff for my Rosewood Fretboard and I was wondering If it's okay if I just drop some on and use some paper tissue to wipe off the fretboard.

i use it on the strings aswell, despite the fact that it shortens string life, it makes it play super fast so i use it anyway
