Cryptopsy, Suffocation, Aborted...etc.

Anyone been to see this show yet. I went to the Calgary show last night and it was fucking nuts. I was right on the rail for the first three bands (Thorazine, Aborted and Dispised Icon) and part of Cryptopsy. I Met Alex after the show and he gave me a pick. What a good fucking night. Sadly thogh I was too tired after Cryptopsy to enjoy Suffocation(who came on at 12:30)

It was cool. Suffocation said they should have an album out by next year. Cryptopsy were great too.

Oh well, I just found out that Dillinger, BTBAM, and Horse the band are all coming on November 14th!

Aborted fucking killed - too bad they were the openers, but that drummer is tied with Flo for the best drummers i've seen live. fucking insanity. the first time in Canada for the band and they better come back cause that was a sweet performance.

Despised Icon fucking blew ass. i hate this band now, it was the 3rd time i've seen them, first time with thier entire "real" lineup and they are the gayest band ever. acting all tough and shit the entire time thinking they are the best shit ever with thier metalcore garbage, meanwhile they played after Aborted and before Suffocation...hmm so who's actually tough again? these bastards had no place being at a show with Aborted, Suffo and Crytopsy.

Suffocation killed much like Aborted...but better. first time seeing this band and they are 1000 times better live than on CD. i never liked thier CD's much but i'll see them any chance i get now.

Cryptopsy was thier usual selves. Lord Worm sucking ass, and insanity everywhere else. there was tech. problems at one point so Flo pulled out a drum solo to fill the void...i wish there was a bootleg of that shit. fucking great.

all in all a cool show, almost getting ruined by Despised but seeing Aborted and Suffo for the first time easily made up for it. i wish Vader was there though...they were at Montreal the night before...or after...

I get to see this tour next Monday, Nov. 7th at NYC. Who's going to that one?

I've already seen Suffo and Vader, so Cryptopsy and Decap(whom I'm most excited about) along with Aborted and Dew SCented are the bands I'll be seeing for the first time.

I think Craptopsy are playing tonight at Saratoga Winners but I don't think I'll go (different tour than mentioned here) They are the only big name band on the tour, and it's not worth the 20 minute drive.
