1. Emperor- The Wanderer. (i need a slow suspenseful buildup for my intro)
2. Behemoth- Demigod. (a more upbeat song (preferably death metal)
3. Immortal- One by one. (and a closing song to wrap up the movie)
To be honest, all I did was write down song names and the band. But I guess this can work.

1. Gustav Holst - Mars bringer of war (The intro to Nile - Rameses bringer of war)
2. Lashed to the slave stick
3. Amon amarth - and soon the worls will cease to be
fatdanny, you stole the first song I thought of, too.
Holst's Mars would be good. And Nile's version would keep to the metal theme if you used that.
I'll leave the 2nd and 3rd songs to the metal experts.
It would help to know a little more info about the movie though.

It depends what the content of the movie is. It's always good if the music can relate to the film
whats the movie on and how long is it?

Example:
If the movie is about the dangers of underage drinking for women, you must play Fucked with a Knife by cannibal corpse.:D

SORRY!!!! i havent been able to keep up...
well the idea of the movie really sucks. its a script that everybody in the class has to use and its called "remote possibilities". its about how one person likes to watch tv with the sound off (???dont ask me) and one likes it with the sound on. it turns out to be a duel like in the old spaghetti westerns on who can win their preference of sound on/off.
The script kinda sucks but im trying to make the best of it. some nice camera work and editing and it should turn out very nice. just trying to put my finger on the sound so thanks for all the suggestions so far.
oh and the movie is about 10 min long so im kinda limited here...

that just made me laugh...heh...
I was thinking of Dueling Banjos yesterday before you posted and now since you said it's about individual preferences I definitely think Dueling Banjos should be in there. If it's that dumb a movie that's a perfect dumb song. Or you could go with the guitar duel from Crossroads. They're getting away from metal, but those are a couple ideas.

I don't think death metal would really suit the movie too well. Maybe for the intro but i still don't think it would go well. You need something to makes the adrenaline pump, I'd go more for thrash metal in the middle. You can never go wrong with some good ol Slayer. As they're battling for control over the sound on the TV, i can just picture the intro to Angel of Death kick in, then things get crazy.
