The fact that certain models of ESP guitars are not available in THe U.S. That sucks what if I wanted the Amott ESP , Id have to pay a zillion yen or worse yet I couldnt get it , I think all guitars should be available to anyone, Im not talking a company like Ran , which is understandable will cost you alot to ship to the U.S. but will do it if you can afford to have a axe made and shipped to ya , but a huge company like ESP I think its bullshit that certain models are only available in Japan , what the fuck japanese peeps buy more guitars than americans or europeans..
To my european friends are there any models that arent available to you guys ,or can you get the japanese stuff too .
What if Americans boycotted ESP , not that I would want that cause ESP makes a great guitar and their LTD 1000 series are really fuckin good.
Im not bitchin just to bitch , But any one out there think thats bullshit, Its just like japanese versions of CDs carry bonus tracks that arent on the U.S. version case in point Judas Priest Unleashed in the East.
WTF why do we get fucked , look if its in reverse then thats cruddy to, if ESP sells some guitars available here and no where thats unfair also
Im serious I want to hear your opinions.

Well, thats the way things work. You peeps in the states are lucky with your Peavy XXX and 6105 cheap metal amps, wich you can buy realy cheap second hand, while over hear they price them just a couple hundred less than an ENGL powerball, wich you US guys don't have over there. I guess a lot of companies don't think outside of their 'base' country.
It is the way a lot of companies in America think, you are screwed for good Japanese guitars, another one is screwed for good US amps. Realy..

You would think that by now importing goods wouldn't be a difficult task. It's quite ridiculous how hard it can be to get something from across seas shipped to your residence.
And about guitar center - It's the wal-mart of guitars. A place where kids play metallica riffs way out of tempo in an attempt to show off. Fuck that place.
i hate ESP, dave mustabstain and cheap shit fraud merchants, theres no justice in this world.

How about not bitching, and getting someone overseas to ship it to you. But oh wait, that requires using brain power, which about a handful of people on this site know how to use.
But yes, i see a shitload of Ibanez guitars that I've never even seen for sale over here. ANYWHERE.

Yeah, I'm with you on that one.
We have to pay double for guitars - don't whine just because you have to pay a shipping fee.

Its true. I paid a small fortune for my dual rectifier. And I live in holland. I don't have it anymore but i bought it new a couple of years ago. and it cost me 2900 euro for just the head.
You can get Most ESP's but not froma US dealer, also the Alexi amott sig's and a few other minor endorsee's sig's cost a hell of a lot roughly $3,500
You can Still order these but you'll have to buy from one of the japan dealers european dealers or austrailian dealers, you get better prices so don't bitch...
Ozz
same with japanese custom RG's that they never sold out of Japan....
well, there's a way to get stuff if you really, really want, you just have to search and dish out every single bit of cash you've got in your pockets...

Well it sucks , because we should all be allowed to get the goods without being butt fucked , Look im not saying its fair either way , I know in holland its a fortune for gibsons , I went to kees dees and a few shops in amsterdam awhile back and they want a mint for US made guitars , thats horse shit too.
Kees Dee, yeah the guy in Amersfoort, he's good but charges way too much for everything he's got. he's a real 'dealer' though, so you can talk your way into a discount.
which shops in AMS did you visit?
We'll you can blame most of it on either copright, or supply and demand if arch enemy become more popular i'm sure they will sell shitloads of ninja models, however as it is they are only selling enough in japan and the fact you cant get them easily outside of Japan.
This means that people will still be buying from japan as ESP won't realise that it's getting shipped to the uk, so it'll still be a japan sale...
It really tickles me soemtimes how people cannot understand simple economics or business desicion's...

GOD yes. Some of those custom RGs are just gorgeous. I'm planning on getting a new RG and throwing new hardware/mirror pickguard on it. I'm trying to find one already with a pickguard so I don't have to drill the holes in the body. Because I'd be a sad panda if it got fucked.

Lucky you don't live in Australia. All guitars, amps, effects etc are on average 2 1/2 times the price they are in the U.S. Its lucky for me my wife is American so i'm over there quite a bit, unfortunately Australia will only accept items up to 44 pounds in the post and the Avatar 2X12 i'm after weighs 45 pounds. To get shipped by other methods costs as much as the cabinet. Guess I'll have to take it as luggage on the plane - not this trip though cause i'm full already with goodies.

Japan is metal crazy. There is a good market over there for guitars and music and that is why curtain things can only be found there. ESP would lose money by marketing those guitar over seas because of the cost involved shipping them compared to the amount they project to actually sell. They make more money in Japan from guitars and music without having to ship it anywhere and lose some money.
Its all about the money for companies like ESP. I feel they don't care what you want. I agree that it sucks. You have to pay an unrealistic amount if you what ESP to get you one from over there. I would rather vaction there, buy one, and bring it back. It might be cheaper.

I dont know how it is where you live, but over here the salesmen kick ass. One guy sold me a 400$ guitar for 340$, just cause i didnt have the money. Also, my friend got 100 bucks off this guitar he bought just cause he noticed a scratch on it.
But yes, people do fuck up on metallica songs and try to show off at this one here too. By the way, at the one that I go to, Yngwie Malmsteen lives nearby and plays there every once in a while. Pretty cool shit.

I guess ESP has its own ways...
Here in Finland we have like a dozen ESPs and LTDs that are not sold outside Finland, from a bunch of handmade custom/signature models, to lower-end LTD RR-copies, which have become very popular.
such as:
http://www.musamaailma.fi/bandikamat/uutiset/93.phtml
http://www.musamaailma.fi/bandikamat/tuotteet/155/159/mmv_sn.phtml
Based on this I'd guess the Amott ESP would be available in Sweden?
And about the prices... man Finland is expensive, in some things. All amps cost a lot, there's no denying that, but on the other hand ESPs are cheaper than on Thomann. And the second-hand markets are absolutely pathetic! You really gotta dig in if you'd want for example a new tubehead.

You can get anything you want, it all boils down to cash. You want it, you gotta pay for it. Bottom line
