Well, what makes a metal chord progression so metal, in particular? Go ahead and tell, my pretties. :vampire:

i dont know about metal, but I can give the 'theoretical' progressions

major
I-can go to anything
ii- V, vii
iii- vi, IV
IV- I,ii,V, vii
V- I, vi
vi- ii, IV, V
vii-I

minor
i-anything
ii-i, V, vii
III-ii, iv, VI
iv- i, V, vii
V-i VI
VI-ii, iv
vii-i

obviously you can take these anywhere, where they would sound good thats just the text book shat

as far as metal goes there the tritone thing (root, 5, b5) or as a tab

A------2--1--
E--0---

dont know what gives it that tonal quility it just has it

Whoa sweet. One question, the commas after the - means that it can go to any of those chords? Or is that the next in that progression?

i read that somewhere but forgot

i thing it is that if your playing the Key of C major then

i= c (root note/tonic)
ii=d(supertonic)
iii=e.......so on vii=b and i after vii would again be c (octave)

it can go to any of those, like for the
ii- V, vii

ii can go to either a V or a vii
