My fucking guitar was stolen right out of my fucking car, in my fucking dirveway, An Ibenez Acoustic, now I'm fucking guitarless, and i dont have any money to buy a new one, I had to get that out,
Did you file a police report? Is it covered on your homeowner's insurance? Do you have a receipt for it? Do you have a copy of the serial number? Have you checked any pawn shops around there? Do you think it might be someone you know? Remember "loose lips sink ships" and if it was someone you know they won't keep quiet for long or they'll be playing it in front of an acquaintance that will recognize it.
But why did you you leave it in your car anyways? If it's not locked up in the trunk or there isn't a non-teething rottweiller in there that wasn't a good thing to do anyways.
But don't feel alone. When i went to see King's X, Dream Theater, and Satch a few years ago one of them said that a whole rack was stolen at one of their concerts. I'm sure they had insurance, but it's the thought.
Sorry about you loss, dude.

My 1st Acoustic was an Alvarez Regent.
It took a walk on the very first (foolish) party I ever threw when I was 15.

.
and its just not good for the guitar
It might be a good idea if you do have any photos or anything that can ID the guitar as yours to take that with you. I really don't know how you should approach the people at the pawn shop. Obviously they arent going to want to get busted for receiving stolen property. You might want to call the cops first and see how you should do things. I'm not really sure.
Be sure and let us know what happens. At least pm me and let me know. I'm curious.
That happened to em on New Year's Eve last year. Someone took my bass, amp, mulit-effects pedal, amp cords, and even my fucking picks.
and even my fucking picks.

A couple of tips that might not be of help now but may be of use in the future....
1) Always take photos of your guitars and gear.
2) Record any serial numbers.
3) Mark your equipment, either with UV pen or remove a panel / scratch plate and write your zip/post code in the recess. Something that can prove it's yours if found in a pawn shop.
4) If you can afford it get insurance or check to see if they will be covered by your home and contents insurance.
5) If it does get stolen report it to the police and get an incident number. That way if it does turn ugly in the pawn shop you have followed procedure and the law (hopefully) will be on your side and help you out.
6) Don't ever leave your stuff unattended in a car or out in public. You wouldn't leave 500 bucks in full view like that would you!?!!!!
On a lighter note.....even when you're in a big time band people still try to 'lift' stuff. I read an interview with Therapy? where the guitarist looked down mid gig to see someone unplugging his digital delay stomp box and legging it!
