Aren't Uruk-Hai's the half human, half orcs from Lord of the Rings?

i was just wondering, i like ambient music and japanese instruments sound like theyd sound good in an ambient band...
Sorry, maybe you should try an ambient forum instead of a metal forum.

point taken, thought a japanese BM band may have gone in the same direction Uruk-Hai went with that album....

Sigh rules. Catchy guitars, black metal vocals, and REALLY trippy Mini-Moogs and other weird instruments. Get "Imaginary Soniscape".

You may want to check out a geezer called Ryuichi Sakamato, he's been doing electronic music since the 80's and he did the music for the 'Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence' film in which he also co-starred with David Bowie.
He uses traditional instruments and might be up the street your looking for.
Also I recall a band called Mono who I think are Japanese and they do chilled out stuff.
Plus there is also Boris if you want the trippy stoner stuff. :stoned:
Failing that there is always film soundtracks and the Japanese do a very fine line in crazy head fuck films! :D
Other Japanese bands: Mad Capsule Markets, Vow Wow, SOB, The 5,6,7,8's. Shonen Knife.

Haha! I was refering to Japanese bands in general and not just the ambient genre at that point! Though I could see how a 'Scum' era Napalm Death influenced Asian band could create a certain ambience! :D
