Thoughts on the Gwar War Party cd

i love GWAR, but think that cd is not up to par. they are more of a live band, than a studio band.... IMO

I thought their latest cd was below what I was expecting. It is far more metal than earlier work like We Kill Everything, but it seems very repetative. I've listened to it through and through and each time I keep disliking it. Trying to find a reason to like it and I keep coming up short. It might be the political part that I don't like since I'm not heavily into bands that have a political agenda. Anyways I think "Violence has Arrived" was a far superior cd. It was fresh, brutal, funny, and serious all at the same time. They took gore to an awesome level and I was thinking the same or something much like that with "War Party." Anyways I hope their next cd is better...

Just got back from seeing Lamb of God and GWAR. Holy shit GWAR has a badass live show, they mutilated and decapitated george w, michael jackson, arnold schw., lacy peterson, and ronald reagan. That was fuckin crazy... Their setup is so fuckin sick, looks like the bowels of hell. Ha, the lead singer bit the dick off of michael jacksons' baby and squirted it all over the crowd, oh I almost forgot, the lead singer has like a 4 foot dick attached to his uniform that he squirts "jizzum" all over the crowd. Their music is pretty kickass too, I love their drummer, he smokes! Their a must to see in your lifetime....
