There have been Akercocke threads, but I feel another is due. It may be late news, but ex-Berzerker "shred master" Matt Wilcock has replaced Paul Scanlan as lead in the band. There is nobody in this band without superior talent on their instrument - Mendonca being without a doubt my favourite brutal vocalist of all time (he's not bad on the guitar either) - and their new album will certainly be a treat.

I've only got 4 songs by Akercocke, which is sad since I've liked them for about 2 and a half years! But they all kick ass!

A friend lent me a copy of one of their albums though, I can't remember which one... it had 'praise the name of satan' on it, I remember that much (loved that song).

Yeah the recording is fine to me,but I also listen to Darkthrone,Burzum,etc.
Goat of Mendes is fucking grand quality compared to some of Darkthrone's shit.
