Since i was recently encouraged to post more bands that i like....here's another one.
Currently one of my favorite bands to listen to, Gorguts just simply fucking rule. Anyone who hasn't heard them should give them a try. I haven't heard much from their 2 first albums.....but i own their last 2 and that destroy just about anything else that i can put in my cd player (except Immolation of course!).
Those who like Death Metal will most certainly like this.....it's different from anything i've ever heard. I guess it would be classified as Death Metal, but it's not the typical genre. It's really fucked up and insane......i can't comprehend some chords and note arrangements that these guys come up with sometimes.
These guys are great, no 2 ways about it. My good friend Crying Orc would most certainly agree with me.
And to those who have heard them......any opinions? Am i right? Or do i live in a twisted world where only insane crazy music like this can satisfy a mans urge not to annihilate everything in his path??

Havent heard them, but i dont even know if i want to by the way u desribe them. Do you like any thrash metal bands? What are some gorguts songs to dl?
Fuck, i screwed up on the ending of the "yes" part......and to top it off i think i hit "yes" by accident myself.
So there should be 1 less vote for "yes" and one more for "GORGUTS!!!".

I was maybe 1-2 years ago...but since then i've started liking heavier, more brutal and crazy music. It all started with Immolation...ahh...the gods of it all!
About all the thrash (heh, nearly said trash!) i've ever listened to is Slayer, old Metallica and Megadeth (not too much).

Check out anthrax man. I thought i hated these guys, but now i cant get enough of them. I cant wait for their new album. You also might wanna check out "the haunted". Thrash is my favorite type of metal. I'm in a thrash band myself, which i think ive told u about. The thrash scene is huge here in kentucky, and i think it just rocks.
Not interested in Anthrax at all man. I've heard a few songs but i hated them right away.....

Well Audiogalaxy seems to be fucked right now.....so i guess i'll try downloading those songs tomorrow.
And sane.......you try some gorguts......if you're any bit crazy over music, and i have a hunch you are.....try these guys out. Especially the songs i mentionned.
Another band which might be considered Thrash that i simply love is Death.
I know they pretty much were the starters of Death Metal....but i think they can fall under the Thrash category.

lol, i better quit posting in this thread b4 i get into an "Anthrax vs. Gorguts" fight.
First of all, that would be silly......it's like putting Marylin Manson vs Cannibal Corpse....2 completely different styles.
Second, as far as i know you still haven't heard Gorguts.....so, you don't know what you're missing man.
I haven't heard much Anthrax...but the little i have heard hasn't impressed me.

Gorguts is fucking arduously. But i like it, if iŽm in the right mood.
"Obscura" and "With their flesh, heŽll create" are great.
Well, holding fears, let's just say that I wasnt exactly being serious. It was more intended for the humorous vein, aside from that grammatical error, so I'm glad to see I was at least a bit succesful. Thank you.

I just downloaded With Their Flesh, He'll Create. I don't mind it but its only one song I may or may not dl some more. Besides, I can't say im hugely into death metal. I've only really listened to alot of popular death metal bands like Cannibal Corpse and Deicide I mostly listen to thrash.

Use a program like cd-ex to make some mp3's. WMV's suck ass.
Upload in a yahoo folder or something.

I've done 3 songs (damn that program takes long!!!)...not sure when i'll get the rest up there, but whatever. I didn't make them the greatest quality, because Yahoo sucks and won't allow uploads of over 5megs. So each song is done at 96kbps and 32KHz. They're still pretty cool though.

From Wisdom To Hate (the song) is probably my favorite Gorguts song.....it's so perfectly written, it amazes me. From Wisdom To Hate (the album) is also great.....although it only has 8 songs compared to Obscura with 11, it really isn't that big of a deal cause all 8 songs are awesome.

i read one of your post awhile ago about them memnoch, or mabey it was crying orcs and i downloaded 2 of thier songs and i found it boring. But mabey it was 2 bad songs, since you give them such damn inthusiasm i have to dl your suggested songs tracks. dear lord you really love them...
It's not for everyone....a couple of the people i've forced to listen to Gorguts haven't liked it. You just have to like the style (which is original) in order to enjoy the music.
Gorguts have THEIR OWN style......i can't think of any other band that plays the same way or writes songs the same way these guys do. It goes the same for bands like Immolation and Nile.....they are all completely original. No copycats either.
So....don't expect to hear something like Cannibal Corpse or Slayer......

amen to all that. (even the death metal part. as much as i like BM, it gets borings..which is why i had a few days break from these forums :D)
the drumming on the track From Wisdom to Hate really reminds me of Pete Sandoval's style, accept the snare isn't so sloppy in Gorguts, very very tight. nice solo in it too.

Damn I almost bought the first two Gorguts cd's on eBay... some crazy guy was prepared to fork out more than 40 dollar er cd though... :mad: I found that a little too much... I went up to 35 dollar per cd but it wasn't enough.

Well, i don't own either of the first 2 albums, and sadly i don't think i ever will.....but i at least have just about all of them on my computer. I think i'm missing only one song.
Anyways......THEY FUCKING RULE!!!!!!!! I thought the newer Gorguts rocked, but this stuff is even better! Now i understand why John MaCentee(spelling??) said he prefered their older shit. Their riffs are still just as weird, but more kick ass....it's really sweet!
