I wish it was Angra instead of the worst band ever, Manowar, but it might be worth it to see Rhapsody.

RHAPSODY TOUR DATES! Demons, Dragons and Warriors

RHAPSODY will make their debut performance in America as MANOWAR's special guests. Having achieved sales of more than 1 million records, known the world over for thrilling audiences with their unforgettable stage show as well as their very own style of "Film Score Metal" RHAPSODY have elevated symphonic metal to unheard of extremes. With their newest release Symphony Of Enchanted Lands Part Two - The Dark Secret featuring legendary actor Christopher Lee as guest narrator, RHAPSODY have risen to a new height in the world of metal and as the special guests of MANOWAR you can be sure that this will be everything fans expect from them and more.

Joining the fight to make this a triple threat is the newest signing to Magic Circle Music, HOLYHELL. This is an all star band of master shredders featuring Joe Stump "The Shred Lord" known worldwide for his power metal style of playing and writing, who will burn down one side of the stage while being joined by Tom Hess, Chicago's premier guitar demon who will unmercifully scorch the other side of the stage. the worst band ever, Manowar,
Correction. Manowar is the CHEESIEST band ever, not the worst. ;)
I think it would be very amusing to see them live. About the same caliber and cheese factor as Dio, Iron Maiden, or Judas Priest...

Heh, just found out Hate Eternal will be playing the upstairs portion of the Palladium on the same night. They will be louder than Manowar!

 That is fucking funny. Hate Eternal should make of point of breaking Manowar's "World Record" decibel level right in front of their faces...

Oh my dear lord:

Manowar Manowar living on the road
When we're in town speakers explode
We don't attract wimps 'cause we're too loud
Just true metal people that's Manowar's crowd

They wanna keep us down
But they can't last
When we get up we're gonna kick your ass
Gonna keep on burnin'
We always will
Other bands play Manowar kill
Other bands play Manowar kill

We like it hard, we like it fast
We got the biggest amps, man they blast
True metal people wanna rock not pose
Wearin' jeans and leather, not cracker jack clothes

They wanna keep us down
But they can't last
When we get up we're gonna kick your ass
Gonna keep on burnin'
We always will
Other bands play Manowar kill
Other bands play Manowar kill

We're the kings of metal comin' to town
When we light up, have the roof nailed down
Don't try to tell us that we're too loud
'Cause there ain't no way that we'll ever turn down

They wanna keep us down
But they can't last
When we get up we're gonna kick your ass
Gonna keep on burnin'
We always will
other bands play Manowar kill

Manowar's "Dark Avenger" lyrics always cracked me up the most:

"Burning, death, destruction
Raping the daughters and wives
In blood I take my payment
In full with their lives
I spare not land or servants
My wake is smoke and flame
I take their wives and daughters
They stand there watching, watching
Hoping to get my life
But when I'm through they know they must pay"

As far as Priest and Maiden go, after 20 years of listening to all three bands I personally find that the 10 or so best Manowar songs of all time are superior to them by far. Dio albums were sold long ago, Priest and Maiden are collecting dust, Manowar still gets broken out once in a while thanks to songs like Dark Avenger, Bridge of Death, Kill with Power, Battle Hymns, Gates of Valhalla, Blood of My Enemies, etc... :) Of course they've also unleashed some of the worst crap of all time, but who hasn't?
