I really think it IS hard to scream for that long, and that hard at the same time.

What I think will be easier but probably not better at all, would be to have the volume adjuster turned up as the loud scream dies, letting the voice fade, but the volume keep at its top. Actually heard that the vocalist from Veles did this back in their starting days.

A lot of the high screams are Flo, but not that Open Face Surgery one. Like We Bleed for example, he sings the second "We Bleeeeeeed!' bit that comes straight after DiSalvo's one. And Flo is short for Flourent.

Well, some time ago I saw the same question on unofficial Cryptopsy site. One guy said something like on Open Face Surgery LW is screaming normally and when he run out of air he Inhale and continue screming WHILE INHALING. It seemed to me impossible until I remember that it is Lord Worm. (btw I won't be suprised if I hear that he fly above the audience during the gig one day:D ) That men is sooo wierd ( positively) so that could be it. I don't see other explanation. It is defenitly impossible to scream for so long and do it normal way. I doubt if he usues some vocal effects.

i used this same technique when i tried to scream for 26 seconds, i screamed normaly until i ran out of breath then i inhaled, but the inhaling part isnt realy screaming, if you do it right it sounds like your screaming, i got pretty far, no 26 seconds but i think i got to about 16-19 seconds doing this, it sucked i felt like shit but it was almost close.

did they use any effects in the scream at the starting of gravaged? (the ungentle version)? other then the crossfading from left to right.. cuz that sounds like screaming while gargling blood :p

yeah with practice you can breathe out your mouth and in your nose at the same time...dunno if this is possible while screaming your fucking lungs out :confused: ...but some people can just keep air circulating straight through without cease, or take more in in a short burst...its weird

The australian aborigionies do that while using the digereedoo. They have almost constant sound going, i remember a guy showing me how to use one and he said it takes a lot of practice, but to an extent you can keep a flow going out your mouth while inhaling in bursts

I thought this scream was all inhaled? I can get the sound, but 26 seconds? Ha!

As for circular breathing, loads of people do it, sax players etc.

Actually I dont think the aborigines breath in and out at the same time 'cause I'm pretty sure that is literally physically impossible. I heard they use a technique where they breath in through the nose and 'put' air in the mouth.
The example of this, if I remember, is doing it with water and a straw. Breath in through the nose and 'put' air into your mouth and push the air out with your tongue. If you keep practicing it you can pretty much end up doing it for ages.

Oh yeah you're right.

Kinda the same as french inhaling a cigarette, you get the smoke in your mouth, push it out and inhale it in your nose. Looks grim as fuck ;)
