Yeah, I got it.
I know I have some 9 1/2's on one of my guitars right now, so there must be a 10 1/2

The only difference I notice is when bending (well obviously).
Check out Ernie Ball's "Custom Gauge" there's sure to be 10.5's in there.
Edit: Actually there aren't. Check out some strings at your local guitar shop.

I noticed a huuuge difference when I switched from .009 - .042 to .010 - .050, the 10's feel soooo much better, and sound much better, but I also changed brands actually so...

You've got a Floyd right? The RG I got has 9-42, would I need to change anything on the Floyd if I switch to 10-50? What brand are you using?

Yeah, you'd need to adjust the springs a bit, make sure the tension evens out..

thats what i have on my tele right now, there is a bit of difference, you feel it more when you downtune, i am in d right now, and with 10's it sounded too thin, the 10.5 retains more tension. im beefing up to 11-50, though

Yea I have a floyd. I had to add one spring and adjust the intonation and raise the action a little. Took about four hours with lunch break and stuff... I'm using Power Bright strings now, was using D'addarios before...

Ah ok cool. I'm using 9-42 Ernie Ball Super Slinky's. I've used them for a looooong time. Powerbrights are made by Thomastiks right? Are they easy to get hold of?

I've never heard of a 9.5 gauge ... or a ".5" gauge for that matter. Where do I order these?

Well, its not actually .5, its 0.095. Guitar strings are commonly refered to as just 9s,10s,11s, etc. so a .095 is a 9.5.

They should be at any guitar/music store..

yea they're made by Thomastik Infeld... I don't know if they're easy to get hold of but they probably are since the music store nearest me sells them and they mainly have some pretty known stuff.

Don't flame me for correcting you bro (unless you really want to for shits and grins), but 9.5 is correct in mils. A mil is 1/1000th of an inch. Strings are referred to in mils. :)

HEY:D i have a floyd aswell.

take the back off ur guitar and then screw in or out the screws that are attached to the tremolo spring, this way u bring the tremolo up and down (depend wether u scew em in or out)

then tune ur guitar with the new strings and then keep adjusting the screws and keep tuning until the guitar is in tune and the tremolo is set balanced.

hope this explanation makes sence
