hey everyone. last night i was screaming my lungs out at a gwar concert (ill probably post about that later if i decide to stick around). by the end of the show i pretty much lost my voice so i experimented with some deathmetal vocals. my friends said that they were pretty good and i was just wondering if there was any way to sustain and always be able to do that growl. normally when i sign i guess you could say i sound like jerry only or that guy from the dammed. so, any pointers?

keep losing your voice until you grow up. (timewise I mean)

probably because your not even a singer. singing is no different then playing an instrument

how could you experiment with screaming if you lost your voice?

You know... trying to sing, or worse, growl after you have lost your voice is a very stupid/bad decision. Do you want to keep your voice? If you do you need to treat it like a real instrument, hence don't brake it.
Like someone said over and over on these forums, you're born with only one voice, don't lose it. (unlike a guitar, that if you brake it you can fix it, or get another, you can't get another voice)
