I was wondering how Lord Gore gets that bubble effect? I read they don't use a distortion or effect box or anything. He is accually doing it. Other bands that do it are Cattle Decapitation (but very suddle), Frightmare and the infamous Cock and Ball Torture. My friend suggested that they sing into a bowl of water or something? But I don't know. So if anyone knows how they do it let me know.

Or bubble gay shitwad gum.

I've never heard of singing into a bowl of water. In all sense, you would lose your breath and ya know, kinda die from drowning:p. But I have heard of singing behind a towel that's over the mic. It would change the sound maybe the volume, but I doubt is changes your voice...

roll your tongue back as far as you can and rumble .. keeping your voice at the back of your neck

I can do this (transient can vouch). What you have to to is push all the air to one side so that the gums of your mouth start flapping, its easy.

who the hell is lord gore

im sure you could find the "bubble effect" if you recorded it and added some effect to it. whoever he is, its probably done with effects

it would probably be some sort of Phazer if i remember correctly

Vocal Effects+death metal-disavowed=gay

If you don't know what you're talking about, the why did you even bother posting?

CBT most definitely use a pitch shifter.

By the way, not all of Gurge's vocals (Lord Gore) are natural.

Well, fuck me in the Ozarks! Why can't death metal be natural any more, vocal wise?

ahh i think you can get pedals for it... i saw a video some time ago and the singer picked up a mic and moved it away and closer while he was singing an ambient part and it was definantly a bubble effect.

i dunno if this helps, i am a crappy singer

I don't think Gurge's vocals are an effect. It says on the CD no vocal effects were used during this recording. But then again they could be lying. However I do know he does it live as well.

I was thinking they record him blowing bubbles seperatly and put it under his real vocals. But that's just a guess.

Im not getting what you mean by bubble effect. Do you mean that bubbly gutteral vox like Matti Way, or like Demilich?
