hey im 14 yrs old and dont know much about amps i was just wondering i am looking at getting a esp ex-400bd and i know somewhere that i can get a peavey 5150 quad box for $500 and i thought that is pretty cheap but i dont know wat heads i could run through it cause i want to be able to use it as soon as possible so i was thinking about buying maybe a cheap randall head or cheap marshall head and then save for ages for the 5150 head can anyone help me out with what head i could buy

youve gone wrong there straight away!

a good combo will serve you better than a half stack! trust me i own one, its a bitch to lug around to practices and such!

also, look into secondhand stuff, you sure can get some bargains there!

definately go for a combo. Hell, you could get a 5150 combo off of ebay for what you would be paying for that 412 cab. Plus, not everybody has/gets a truck for their vehicle, and if you got a car, a half-stack would be virtually impossible to take anywhere.

Cab in the backseat, head and guitar in the truck.

Works in my friend Buick Reviera.. so im sure it will work in any car.

But if your just gonne jam by yourself than a combo would be fine
