HALF LIFE 2 was just released and it is fucking incredible, the engine is fuckin badass, and the environment interaction is really sweet so far, you can pick shit up and throw it around and... uhh its just awesome, ive played it for like 5mins so far and its badass.

I live in the middle of nowhere, I talk to a lot of people on msn, people that I see on a daily basis but I can't be arsed to call. this does seem more usefull to me then playing games.

1.2 GHz Processor
256MB RAM
DirectX 7 capable graphics card
Windows 2000/XP/ME/98

Those are minimum. Preferred, however, is always a different story.

....? there is no readme, you download the game through steam, and then play there was no official instalation and shit, steam does it all for you, they preloaded the encrypted data onto your comp and then unencrypted for play the day of release. so yea, you could just go to the site, and by the way hl2 engine kicks the shit out of doom3, the graphics in doom3 might be better, but the actuall environment interaction is incredible.

not as good as hl2 i have both of them and hl2 is much more interesting, and steam is pretty awesome cuase you have an account that all your games and cd-keys are registered through, so you can reformatt, then install steam then log on and just dl the hl2 or whatever over night.

dude, ravenholm is the best fucking place ever, i made some demos of me fuckin with the hanging zombies, you take the grav gun and launch cinder blocks and radiators at them and they fuckin wig out, i have to compile them to mpg's or avi's and ill upload them onto my site so you can check it out, its fuckin funny, right now im at this part where you have to like go along this beach without touching the sand or else you get fucked by these ant lion things, so you have to like use a bunch of drift wood to make it from rock to rock without touching the sand. fellow ragnarok addict reporting, though i've been working on kicking the habit. i do rpgs alot too. and i don't care if games cut into my social life. i hate being social.. i hate people in general except for the few close to me anyway. so my social life tends to be whenever my band plays and when i go to shows. i'm happy that way

it didnt really take that long, i just rushed through everything, i get out of school at 10am and i had nothing else to do, the games been out for 3 days an di beat it in about 7 hours, so thats like 2.5 hours a day after school, for 3 days, what else was i gonna do from 10am till 12, talk to fearfrost or whoever it was who beat halo 2 from right when it came out at 12am and played it for like 16 hours straight lol, yea i need a life.....

EDIT: For all those people with shitty computers but have Xbox's and wanna play hl2, your inluck cause hl2 is in the process of being made for Xbox.

i rushed through it extremley fast, and took the easy ways out, like instead of doing a puzzle to open a gate i would just build a jump to get over the gate, if 7 hours is shit i take it youve played longer games, and you still claim i have "no life" whatever that means

well its not much sound as it is feel, like if its built to where it doesnt feel right, in my case i have emgs, i could tape those in a paper cup and itll sound the same, but with them advertising woods like alder and what not i dont think its gonna sound to shitty, i doubt they lie about the type of wood they use considering there pretty popualr and lots of 1337 m0f0's use there guitars.

aftermath is gonna be gooooood. i played the loast coast demo the other day. it was awesome, it just talked you through all the techniques for making the game world look so damn awesome. wasn't like a proper game or anything though...just like an interactive tour kinda thing where you get to shoot enemies...

One of the best games I've played in years, and it plays splendidly on my humble lil' machine. If you like this game you'd probably like the movie (or the book) 1984, by George Orwell. The first section of the game is based pretty heavily on that. Police State stuff.
