On Black Force Domain I kind of like the vocals, and the guitars are okay, I just hate that stupid one-speed double bass machine! You can even tell when they pause the machine and make it start again. Its like they use an on/off switch for double bass. :smash:

It depends on the band. A lot of "old school death" consists of slow, poorly produced, power-chord frenzy bullshit that I hate with a passion. Old Morbid Angel and Possessed is great shit. If you've ever heard Necrophagia's original album (which sounds noting like the bullshit Phil Anselmo Necrophagia of today), that's definitely old school death metal, it's not great, but it's not bad either. I'm not a big fan of Scream Bloody Gore, it was Death's worst album if you ask me. Spiritual Healing was their first good album, Leprosy was okay, but nothing special. I also have a shitload of old Death demos and bootlegs (pre-Scream Bloody Gore), and they aren't very good. Death metal is a lot better today and around the mid-90's than it was in the mid-late 80's.

I'm a huge fan of the first albums of Malevolent Creation, Monstrosity, Vader (plus Vader's demos), Carcass, Deicide, and Krisiun. I also love Atheist's and Cynic's demos, great stuff.

All those bands in the ol' days are fucking awesome... But old school tends to get pretty slow.. Autopsy, I never really liked Autopsy. Coercion arent really old, but their style is old school.
