I just heard Kittie for the first time on Headbangers Ball on MTV. Not a bad all-girl band. What are your opinions on this band.

My Opinion is that you suck...and well Kittie does too..(aren't they broken up though??) I think the guitarist joined like Avril Lavagne or some other shitty pop band.

The I hate them part is cool with me because they do suck and they slept their way to the top probably, but the second part is shit. How does it matter that they're a girl band anyway? If they make shit music and they're shit, tits or no tits.

Kidding. I can't off the top of my head think of a good all-female metal band, but I can think of some good bands with girls in them, and maybe, some day, something good will come of this travesty.

I will say this myself, being a raging feminist and all - nothing keeps women from being great metal musicians because musical ability is not determined by gender, if they want to be great musos they can be, but they most often don't. Very few women play guitar or bass and even fewer play drums but why? Because they don't want to. Simple. However, when a few girls pick up instruments and band together, no matter how shitty they are a great deal of attention is drawn to them because look! They're such great rolemodels for women and are pioneers in human rights! Let's listen to them just because they're women! That's utter bullshit. I like Arch Enemy but I hate Otep. Coal Chamber and White/Rob Zombie both have female members, but I only like White/Rob Zombie. If a woman wants to get into an instrument but doesn't because she's a woman than it's her own fucking fault.

Makes me wanna beat the shit out of people.

Their songs are extremely boring and the lyrics are really empty.

I'm not sexist or anything, but I'm just amazed by the way she growls. Like the singer in my band has this angelinc sound to her vocalizing (AKA she actually sings) but I couldn't see her or any girl growling like any death metal band or one of those realy heavy bands. Not saying Kittie is heavy or death metally (IS that a word) But I like the vocalist's singing and growling.

Yeah, Talena Atfield, boy she was sexy, (still is probably) they actually kicked her out apparently.. probably grabbing all the attention, haha.. erm my opinions on kittie, i think they can all play there instruments, because most girls cant really, you dont see many girl bands around.. but there songs do lack power.. not bad though..

Angela Gossow of Arch Enemy growls very well. Women can growl, but it comes out a lot "wetter". Also, NMB, your signature is very annoying. Could you kindly make it smaller, please?

mudvayne remind me of slipknot (who I don't hate with a passion like rest of you guys, except their new album). I have seen them twice as support bands. They're OK, wouldnt buy their stuff.

I don't see how you can compare Mudvayne with Slipknot really. Mudvayne stopped with the makeup because people started seeing them as Slipknot clones instead of serious musicians. Thats one thing that made me really respect them, other than Ryan's amazing bass playing.

I don't see how you can compare Mudvayne with Slipknot really. Mudvayne stopped with the makeup because people started seeing them as Slipknot clones instead of serious musicians. Thats one thing that made me really respect them, other than Ryan's amazing bass playing.

I found them quite similar when they first came up, I havent listened to any of their newer stuff. I didn't realse they took off the makeup, good that they did - especially the guitarist's ladybird makeup... that was funny. I did enjoy the bass when I saw them.
