Immolation Lovers? Lykathea Aflame?

Anyone in here a Immolation lover? My soul has totally been owned by Immolation, Also i dig Lykathea Aflame.

My band Myrmidon is a band that is like Immolation, Gorguts, Demilich, Lykathea Aflame, Atrocity, Hellwitch, and bands of the Atonal nature. We are working on our own sound but these are the closest comparisons, we are working on some CD's as of now we have our songs Powertabbed for a CD called Enrapturement of Nightmares which is a theme album and its themed on some Lovecraftian/Demilich type occult lyrics.

Lykathea writes brilliant stuff and mixes it with perfcetly balanced heavy parts. Their drummer is INSANE.

Immolation to me is something special, something beautiful...........
it's the reason i began to listen to music on a totaly defferent way!!!
oh yeah it's atonal....but still I hear so much melody that seemed to me first as atonality. but suddenly i figured it's insanity, it's sickness, the darkness and all beauty it holds.....
To me Immolation is the greatest death metal band EVER!!! It doesn't have reputation and glory they surely deserve.....unlike Morbid Angel or Cannibal Corpse - they never were and never will be above Immolation

Here In After contains my 5th fav Immolation song "Burn with Jesus", a spectacular song.

I don't mind the fake vox on CTAWB. It's still clearly their best album.

They'll always remain relatively unknown. "Elvenefris" was released on Obscene Productions, which is a Czech label famous for its immaculate grind releases (Negligent Collateral Collapse, Squash Bowels, etc). If it was released on something like, let's just say.. Relapse. They'd be right up there.

Aboslutely. A lot of these bands rely on word of mouth promotion.

that Aflame stuff is OK, i might take alot more listening to get into them though...they're original enough, so thats good, never really heard anyone like them before, but i don't like the mix from brutal to melodic...brutal to doom, now that is the shit.

I realize this post has been slightly dead for awhile, and i thank all who responded, also I have powertabs of my band so if anyone wants them, they are some pretty freaky shit, the only problems with powertabs is i cant show you the weird effects i use to get trippy tones and what not.

I find him to be one of the best vocalists in metal. Easily.

His voice fits the music perfectly.
