nah it smells nice and frisky and it won't stain if you don't put to much in your dreads.

when you wash your hair you'll need to re-wax your hair, washing your dreads is good because it dries out your hair pretty fast so it makes them tighten (but you do need to wax them straight after)

im growing out my hair, been growing it for about a year so far. I used to just have it real short and gel it every morning, it was kinda stupid now that i think about it. Long hair rules, i love it, it reachs to the middle of my neck, almost shoulder length. The main reason i wanted to grow it out was to get dreads so i shall be a dreadhead sooner or later.

when you "wax" your dreads, do you wax just at the roots, or the whole dread? and where can you get this wax?

The drummer in one of my old bands used to have the shittiest nastiest dreads i've ever seen. Our singer and other guitarist did them for him. They each did their own side. So he ended up with 2 big fat dreads on one side and about 4 little ones on the other side. It looked like complete shit but he liked 'em. Had 'em for atleast a year.
I don't like dreads though, but I recently decided to quit cutting my hair and I got kind of a mullet goin on right now. Not a true mullet, but kind of resembles one.

Ok, I have some friggin' questions about friggin' dreads agian. I think Def is the only one that can help but if theres others than cool. I've had them for about...2 months I think and they still feel kinda loose. And theres a lot of loose hairs and shit. I stopped backcombing them about a month ago cause I heard that you just backcomb them to knot them up and then stop so you don't take out the lock. I've been using dreadheadhq wax once a week too. I also used wash them once a week too but now its been a little over 2 week.

So why are they still kinda loose? And what can I do about the loose hairs? Should I backcomb again?

I found a way to tighten my dreads like ropes...rub them clockwise in the shower for 20 min. I can't even squeeze them with my fingers they're so tight. Tight like nu-wejia's mom :)
